How to Interpret Results

Oral fluid drug test result interpretation guide A positive result displays one control line. A negative result displays control and test lines, including a faint test line. An invalid result has no control line. C T POSITIVE C T NEGATIVE ** Faint line C T INVALID
Result interpretation: A positive result shows one control line (C). A negative result shows both the control line (C) and test line (T); a faint test line is still negative. A result is invalid when no control line appears.

Important: No meaning is attributed to test-line color, intensity, or width. A faint test line is still interpreted as a negative result. This screening device provides preliminary results; follow applicable program procedures for confirmation of presumptive positive results.
